It took some 40 minutes…

And then Mr. Lars Johansson of Candlemass fame wrapped up his stuff in the studio yesterday. And man… I can’t even begin to explain what he did. So much emotion and so much passion put into his work on our coming album. I am almost speechless. This is how you play guitar. And to have Lars together with the other greats, Söderman and Tunker, is just mindblowing on all accounts. They have put in that extra thing to make this recording what it’s destined to be. A display of perfection and domination. Ruby will most likely do her last session with her vocals tomorrow to get some additional work down that I have in mind before she’s completely done too, so as you can see – we are definitely getting closer to the mixing, which is something I have longed for… To see this become the monster I envisioned when I started writing for it. The people involved… It’s just unreal. And I can never thank the fantastic Marko Saarelainen for the absolutely insane cover he’s created. It’s not just a cover, it holds more meaning than that. I suggest you pay good attention to the details in it and join in on the forums to discuss it all.

Stay tuned, more will come…

As night falls… demons are gathered…

Behold the mighty Lars Johansson of Candlemass fame in the studio playing solos for the coming album. And yes, that is the very guitar that was used on the classic “Nightfall” album. The circle is complete.

Progress and annihilation!

We are moving forward big time. In a few hours Mr. Lasse Johansson of Candlemass will enter A.R.T. Studios in Stockholm to put down his solo work and Mr. Danny Tunker is delivering his pile of stuff as well in a regular pace, impressing the fuck out of me in the process. When Mike Wead had to step down due to having too much on his hands, I knew it would be interesting to find some excellent people to help me out in this department. It’s an absolute honour to have these guys (together with the magnificent Magnus Söderman) creating solos for “The Cadaverous Retaliation Agenda”. I can’t thank them enough. I also got the only guest vocals I will use for this coming beast. This guy is someone I have the utmost respect for over the years I have bumped into him at concerts and whatnot. Mr. Peter Dolving. And how he delivered. Thank you so much, Peter. I am currently working with this latest stuff and I’m just waiting for the remaining solos to come in before we can start thinking about the mixing process.

We are getting there…
