Dirk checks in again!

“-Howdy Haters! Lord K’s the man when it comes to keeping y’all posted, but listen, I gotta say this: you’re gonna FUCKEN LOVE the upcoming TPH album!!! Over the course of the three lil’ ditties I’ve recorded drums for so far, my enthusiasm went from “pretty damn stoked to be playing on this” all the way to “can’t wait another damn minute to hear the end result”. Believe me, these tracks are absolute masterpieces made by K, inspiring me to lay down some extremely sexy beats indeed. There’s obviously not a shadow of a doubt that Jörgen and Ruby are gonna destroy as well, and – for those who can’t help but wonder about the brutality quotient – I’m on a secret mission of blast beats infiltration. ’Nuff said!”

Dirk’s halfway there!

Drummer extra-ordinaire Dirk Muthafucken Verbeuren’s now tracked 3 out of 6 tunes for the coming album, and once again it’s just some mindblowing stuff he’s put down for us. As I have been giving him some pointers as for how I want him to approach this material, it’s safe to say he’s doing exactly that… putting his own stuff into it, making small changes I never even thought of – making it even better than I ever thought it could be. Just impressive. You will see, I am running out of superlatives for this man. One of the best drummers in the world as well as the most humble and awesome individual you could ever meet. The fact he stepped up the way he did when Tobben had to step down from this album is something I will never forget and will always be extremely thankful for. You rule, Dirk.

Ruby’s close to finishing up her demos now as well, meaning she’ll start tracking the real stuff shortly. The kid’s really impressing the fuck out of me this time around too. Jörgen’s on vacation and will start doing his stuff after that.

It’s all coming together on all levels and it sounds absolutely astonishing. If you haven’t figured out how to get this album when it’s done later this year, it’s time you click the picture to the right saying “How can I get the coming album?”. Another one down by Ruby…

She’s on a roll and not far away from wrapping up her demos now, all of which sounds absolutely killer. Not much more to report at the moment, we’re all having vacation and J is going to his native Gotland shortly, meaning he’ll concentrate on getting his vocals down sometime after that. Dirk is hard at work as always and I expect new material from him shortly. I am always fiddling with the detail work within the songs, leaving nothing to chance. It’s quite some time left before we will wrap this up, but everything is still going according to plan.

Progressing nicely…

I have been working on a few new, special things for the album over the past week and this is really coming together nicely. I still have some work left with this before it’s finished. Yet another step that will enhance The Domination. Also, Ruby is halfway into her next tune, meaning she’s working real hard and getting closer and closer to wrapping up her demos. It all sounds absolutely killer and she’s so pumped to enter the studio as soon as she’s done with this stage of the process.

And the war rages on…

A few days ago Dirk handed over the second track and he definitely added some brutality in this one that I didn’t expect. Absolutely awesome work on his account, making the tune in question even more ferocious. I am speechless. Not much more to report at the moment, but keep on checking in for all the latest news on the recording and the process of completing this next beast.

This is surpassing my wildest expectations.
