Progress, progress, progress…

Our beloved Ms. Roque just finished up another track with all of her vocal parts and she did yet another amazing job at it. Some really beautiful as well as powerful things in this one (like the others are lacking such… not) and it’s fantastic to see so many different aspects of her voice this time around. Awesome work, kid. Awesome work. As mentioned, Dirk is about to wrap up his second tune as well. To say that things are moving forward just according to plan is not a lie. During all of this I am, of course, spending time with the details – making sure everything comes together as I want it to. J told me some days ago that’s he’ll start tracking his vocals asap, and that sure is something I so look forward to. He just needs to find the time for it, you know.

A lot of the stuff I say here will be pretty much repetitions from other updates, something you’ll just have to live with. I believe it’s more important to update you all on all the small details on the progress instead of giving you a bigger update once a month or so. Appreciate it or not, that’s how it is. Also, there’s really no need for you guys to ask us questions over at Facebook since we don’t really use that, as mentioned before. We are grateful to whoever set it up for us, getting these updates posted there automatically and so forth. Do comment on there though, it’s always nice to see some input on our updates. But if you wanna interact with us and get answers to your questions – use our forum.

Besides that, not much to report. We will continue to work extremely hard on this album, the one recording that will define our whole career up to this point, without a doubt. Just wait and you will see.

Dirk is hard at work…

Looks like Dirk will be finished with the second song tonight or tomorrow. Just had a great conversation with him and he’s really inspired and pumped to do this album – and it shows. I have no idea how he pulls off some of the stuff that is on this recording to be honest. It’s a privilege to be able to work with the best people in the business: Jörgen, Ruby, Tobben, Dirk, Mike Wead, Dan Swanö and so on… You are all my personal heroes. This will be something else, Haters. You just wait…

In related news, Dirk’s about to wrap up the second tune and it sounds absolutely amazing. To hear how he approaches the material and makes it come even more alive is pure joy. J and Ruby are both hard at work with their stuff as always and J will enter the studio as soon as he finds the time for it, as mentioned before. Ruby’s still got a few tracks to work out her parts for before she can record it for real. Piece by piece this is coming together and I can’t wait until you guys get to hear it later this year.
