Godd riddance, Spotify and cohorts!

You know that I create TPH for myself first and foremost, and in the long run it’s also created for YOU, the ones who support it through your donations so it can be presented as envisioned. I can’t do it like this without you, that is something I can never stress enough.

With that said, I have decided to remove (effective within 30 days) as much as possible of TPH’s music from Spotify (etc) as I can (albums that record labels have uploaded at some point might still, unfortunately, be there).

Why?

TPH is such a small musical entity that the few plays that happen on those platforms are irrelevant to me. I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to pay for my music to appear on these streaming services, simply becoz it gives me nothing of value in return.

It doesn’t bring more people into the donation process for each album.

It doesn’t make any more people buy the downloads.

It doesn’t help increase merch sales.

All of this have stayed at a steady level over the years, something I don’t take for granted, and I thank you for it.

To put it in perspective; I make about a 100 dollars a year by having my music uploaded to the services mentioned. It is, as said, irrelevant to me.

I, like many others, work a day job and compose in my free time. And trust me, I am very satisfied with creating music for myself and the incredibly loyal Haters that have been following me for 2 and a half decades in said free time.

I am continously floored by the fact that some (pretty much the same) 100-200 people believe in, and enjoy, what I do so much that album after album can be realized, all thanx to your monetary support for the recordings.

I don’t have any disillusions of TPH selling a fuckload of digital copies or anything, it’s not about that. I well understand what level I am operating at, and I have understood that for a very, very long time.

If you want to be a part of what TPH is about, you can support my work directly. I create this massive beast that is TPH with the help from some incredible human beings and musicians, becoz I HAVE to.
It’s my goddamn calling.

What I don’t have to do, though, is make it accessible on platforms I give zero fucks about. Platforms run by companies who obviously give equal zero fucks about the artists on there.

So, I won’t.

You can buy the music of TPH on Bandcamp if you want to. Just click this link.

Or you can get it from this site by going right here.

Stay awesome, Haters!
