Status.
At this point all of my cherished Ibanez Xiphoses, the excellent Yamaha bass to the far right and the absolutely incredible software from www.toontrack.com have been my tools for creating:
Song 1: 14:26 in duration.
Song 2: 14:14 in duration.
Song 3: 11:25 in duration.
Song 4: 12:42 in duration.
Song 5: 13:22 in duration.
Song 6: 11:04 in duration.
You don’t even know what’s coming… This will be a whole new apocalypse. The massive phase 2 of genuine devilry has started.
And maybe the world will get to hear it one of these days…
Keep your fingers crossed.
Phase 2.
As mentioned, all the body work is now pretty much finished for the next album. I will now enter the massive second phase of this coming beast, meaning I won’t hand out as many updates on a regular basis as before coz now it’s all orchestras, effects, electronics and everything else you can possibly think of that comes with the sound of TPH.
This will take a long, long time to complete and I’ll keep you up-to-date every once in a while when something bigger in the grand scheme of things is achieved.
Devilry is underway.
Walking down the left hand path…
Piece by piece the sixth song is coming together as far as body work goes. I still have quite a bit to go before it’s done, but I’m getting there for sure. After that the monstrous work of arranging all the keyboards, strings and effects will start and I am going to spend a shitload of time with that, believe you me.
This is going to be something else.
Track six is getting there…
At this point there’s some seven and a half minutes pretty much completed of the body work for track six. As soon as I have the time I will sit down and put down the rest of the stuff I have in mind for this one. After that it’s time to start composing all the electronics, which will take a long time, to put it mildly. Both the different tuned Xiphoses have come in handy for this piece and it sounds killer on all accounts.
I’ll keep you updated as always, you guys who give a shit.
The work on the final (?) track has begun…
There’s nothing like getting up at 5 in the morning and get to work on the planned 6th track with this environment accompanying me in The Dungeon:
Inspiring, to say the least.
The TPH main Ibanez Xiphos (yes, there’s 2 of them with different tunings for TPH) is begging to be played so I can get all these riffs down. I have a few different ideas as for how to open up this last planned tune and haven’t decided on which one is better for the purpose. This is what I need to try out now so things get even more moving than they already are. There’s no shortage on riffs, lemme tell you that…
Ok, back to work. No need to wish me luck, I have this shit locked down, haha…
