So, J is about to unleash the TPH beast once again…

That’s right, the day has come for J to start recording his vocals. The first 2 days in A.R.T. Studios with Joppe Ã…hlén (who’s been recording J’s vocals for TPH and Torture Division for as long as we can remember) have been booked and tomorrow is when it starts. If nothing fucks up, that and next Monday are the 2 first planned sessions (of how many, you never know) for Mr. Sandström. This is something I have looked forward to for quite some time, coz when J starts putting his trademark grunts – shit explodes and everything comes together. Ruby is hard at work down in the studio in Portugal with her stuff, so the plans are working as we wanted them to all along. Let’s just hope it continues this painless. But it never does, so fuck it. A little pain never hurt no one.

J has also been instructed to shoot some videos while he’s doing his magic, and if he’s got the time for it – you’ll get some of that as we go along. It will look exactly like this and this except for a few things; the music will be new, the lyrics will be new, the studio has been relocated and everything will be better than anything you have ever heard before in your life. Besides those things – it’s all the same. This also means superhero Lasse Johansson of Candlemass fame will bring the exact guitar he used on “Nightfall” (as reported before, but this can’t be told enough times) and accompany J as soon as the time comes, for some guest work. Be sure I’ll get that on tape for my personal collection of historic moments.

In related news, I am working on the material day after day after day, making sure it’s all perfect in the end. What I have poured into this album as far as determination, blood, sweat and tears is just insane. And it shows. You will see what I mean when you guys, who have helped us record this monster, get to hear it. You didn’t help out with The TPH Donation Experiment? It’s not too late for you to find out what you need to do to get it anyways. There’s an updated information thing for ya right at this location, and I suggest you take your time to read it, honor it and respect it. And while you’re at it, spread the word.

Now I’ll go back to working on this masterpiece… Completion is in sight even if it’s quite some work left… And it’s all pure bliss.

J is gearing up! And another sign of what’s to come…

Does this mean he’s about to enter the studio? Today? Tomorrow? Was already there? Yes, it means something, that’s for sure…

And besides that, the signs are coming together now…

Things are happening…

I have told you a few times before, though very briefly and vague, that I have been working on some special things for this coming testament of ours… I’ll continue to be vague, just becoz I can… I’m proud to say that I am at the last of these things now, which is pure joy. It’s turning out exactly as I wanted it to and when you hear the album you will understand it a bit better, coz I am certainly not giving out any secrets, haha… Lemme just say that it really brings the whole concept to full circle, which is what I wanted. Things are going absolutely great and according to the plans.

As mentioned earlier, Ruby already put down one song and J should enter the studio any day now to start his work. Dirk is planning to start recording his 5th tune next week, if his busy schedule allows it. And I know you guys have asked for videos of Dirk and whatnot… He’s kindly letting you know that he will try to record something whenever he can. For now you can watch this clip of Ruby, preparing to record her first tune. We’ll see if we can get more of these videos up in a not too distant future. And Dirk’s 4th tune is recorded!

Actually, he finished it some week ago, but I just got to hear it. I don’t even know where to begin with this… Mr Muthafucken Dirk Verbeuren is setting a new standard for drumming once again. The shit he pulls off for this album is just mind boggling. Up until now I didn’t think drummers could pull off stuff like this. Absolutely astonishing. Just wait until you get to hear it. He’s adding so much stuff to the material it’s not even sane, making this album reach even further beyond what I thought was possible. As mentioned, things are coming together so nicely and what we are creating is without a doubt on another level now. You will see… Also, J is about to start recording his vocals any day now. Mark my words when I say that this is a masterpiece.

Ruby’s on fucken fire!

The kid’s nailed the first of her tunes, and damn – she’s outdoing herself. Absolutely beautiful work on her part and it makes me proud to be able to work with people like her. Astonishing. She’s also making some videos for you guys that will surface eventually, but first she will concentrate on putting down some majestic work for this album. I wanna take the opportunity to thank T for recording Ruby as well. Great fucken guy – thank you so much. To hear this album coming together according to my plans is just mindblowing. I have lived with this material for quite a while, working on it on a daily basis, pretty much… To finally get the vocals into it just further enhances my vision. It’s one thing to imagine how it will sound, it’s a different beast when you actually have them there… Just beautiful.

It also looks like J is about to enter the studio shortly, so things are definitely moving forward. Now I’m off to work on a few other things for the album…
