A quick heads-up for ya, Haters!
I just went thru all of the songs (pre-productions) again after not listening to them for a week or 2. I am so satisfied with how it all sounds. Easily (already at this sage) the most intricate and most “luxurious” sounding tunes we have ever had. It’s a step up both performance-wise and sound-wise (since I have gotten myself quite a bunch of new expensive equipment. I can’t wait for you guys to get this when it’s done. If it’s a label or you guys who will make this one recorded is yet to be seen, but it seems like, with only some 10 days left of July, we will be depending on the Haters… We’ll see… Also went thru Ruby‘s pre-prod’s again and her work puts such a smile on my face. This is going to be a monster of an album.
Talking about Ruby, she’s supposed to nail the remaining 2 songs this week and then all of her pre-production work is done and the work with details will start. J will begin looking into his stuff in August and the plan is to start recording everything vocal-wise in August. Tobben is up in September and he sure got his work cut out for him. Can’t wait to hear his playing in these songs. It’s going to be fantastic, for sure. I also went thru the songs to see if I needed to add anything guitar and bass-wise, but at the moment I can’t find anything. Have in mind I have been working with the guitars and bass for quite some time so there are a gazillion of stuff all over the place. Maybe I will find some stuff to add later on, maybe not – either way it sounds absolutely phenomenal and I can easily say I have never played such good bass in my life. Like TPH‘s Anders said when he listened to the stuff: “It sounds like you had fun while putting down the bass”. He’s right. I had a blast, and it shows.
We’ll see how long it takes to complete this album as soon as we know how everything will pan out with labels and whatnot, but it should all be done within a bunch of months. Swanö is ready to take on this beast and he seems really pumped for it too. But it’s quite a bit of work left before we are at that stage, haha… The album title is decided, all the song titles are set (there might be some small changes to these, but they feel awesome as for now) and the running order of the tracks are also worked out already. Anyways, these are the latest news. I’ll be back, come the end of July, with more information as soon as I have something to share.
