A call to… whatever the fuck.

All rise! Your King is speaking!

The reason for this update is simple; you all need to be informed where we are at with the recording of our 15th planned album, but more importantly; what the status of The 7th TPH DONATION EXPERIMENT is. Coz, you know, I can’t finish this goddamn beast of a platter until I reach the $10000 budget so everyone helping me out can be paid in full for their services.

I know, I know… You hear this shit all the time. Lucky bastards.

But anyways, it’s clear that this round of the Experiment might just be the longest and hardest one yet. I’m not completely surprised considering the state of the world, but I am worried this might take way longer than I initially feared.

We just passed $7300 of the $10000 target.

This means we’re roughly $2700 short of being home free. So, if you ever planned to help us out but haven’t done so yet… Well, please do. The faster we get to $10000, the faster I can wrap everything up and start planning the mix and release.

The pace we’re at right now is pretty much one 200 SEK ($20) donation a week. If that keeps up we’ll reach the goal in ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE WEEKS!

Goddamnit. That would be the longest between 2 TPH albums ever to put it mildly. Let’s hope it doesn’t get to that, but if that’s the way shit goes down… well. So be it. At this point I just have to bide my time, haha…

Let me tell you one thing though; the fact that we have reached $7300 is actually downright insane. Why? Becoz “only” 163 of you Haters have actually donated to make this happen (together with a couple of physical digipak sales of “Spewing” and some $100 from Bandcamp since the 7th Experiment was launched back in January). Completely batshit crazy. And, as always, I can NEVER thank you enough.

That’s what’s up. This DIY thing is overrated. Trust me.

Let’s move over to the recording process and some other things that comes with it:

I initially planned to start mixing by the end of April, which is right now, but since I noticed quite some time ago that the budget certainly wasn’t going to be reached by this time I now hope for us to be able to start mixing when May has passed, earliest. In the meantime, this is where we are at:

– All my work is done since some time back. Guitars, bass, electronics, orchestras, bla bla bla… Done. Finished. Perfected. Sounds glorious. And then some.

– All of Jörgen Sandström’s grunts are completed, as previously reported. He, of course, absolutely destroys any and all competition.

– Ellinor Asp’s vocals have been demoed for all songs but 1 and she is putting down her “real” vocals during May. The demos alone sound insane as always, so I know the end result will be absolutely beyond spectacular.

– Dirk Verbeuren had put down 4 songs (out of 6) a month or so ago when I last spoke to him, so I expect his stuff to arrive any day now if nothing in his insanely busy schedule delays his progress.

– Lasse Johansson will record his solos for all tracks shortly.

– The album art and so on is under construction, once again made by the extremely talented Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design.

– All 6 song titles (total playing time close to 80 minutes) have been revealed on Facebook and Instagram. But here they are in case you hate social media:

You know that we fired up the 7th TPH Donation Experiment a few months back in a quest to raise funds once again for a new album. If you wanna help us out with a donation you’ll find all the information you need in this link right here as for how to do so. I strongly advice you to keep an eye on our social media pages (Instagram and Facebook respectively), simply becoz that’s where continuous updates on everything regarding the recording as well as the donation process happen. This, our official website, is primarily used for “bigger” updates, ok? So, bookmark the mentioned social media stuff to stay informed about the activities in the Hate Camp.

THE TPH DONATION EXPERIMENT 7 IS NOW LAUNCHED!

Last time we talked was on October 3rd last year.  It’s been a while, dammit. How are you guys doing? Awesome, I hope.

So, why the absence, you ask… I’ve been busy, obviously. Busy enjoying life with the missus, busy working the day job, busy being amazing, busy bla bla bla. And on top of all this, I’ve been extremely fucken busy working on the planned next TPH album; the 15^th platter in our rich discography. Number FIFTEEN, people! It’s fucken insane when you think about it. But here we are.

So, let’s try and make this one a reality now, yes?

You know what this means; the 7th installment of THE TPH DONATION EXPERIMENT is now up and running!

If you wanna help reach the $10000 monetary goal needed to pay everyone involved for their efforts and bring this next recording to life, here’s all the info you need: 

– Donating 150 SEK will give you the following digital versions when the album is completed: CD MIX (MP3), CD MIX (FLAC), HDR MASTER 44,1 24 BIT (FLAC), HDR MASTER (INSTRUMENTAL FLAC). Links to the downloads will be e-mailed to you upon release.

– You can of course donate more if you feel like it. Every goddamn cent pushes us further and faster towards the goal.

– Donations are preferably made through PayPal to theprojecthate@gmail.com. Please make a note saying ”HAIL TPH!” with the payment. Or you could just say something else. Also, I will ALWAYS confirm your donation within 24 hours of receiving it, so if you don’t hear from me within that time frame, well… then something fucked up. Simply e-mail me at theprojecthate@gmail.com, ok? If my fellow Swedes prefer another paying method, you holler at me through the same email address.

– I will, as always, update you through social media with every $1000 level reached, and if it so happens that we do not reach the target… Well, then the world will fucken explode. It’ll be real simple; this Experiment will run until we’re there. Be it 2 months, be it 6, be it a year. It doesn’t matter, this album needs to be heard.

It’s a real pain in the asshole to get everyone’s schedule to align when it comes to TPH, that’s for sure. But here’s where we are right now as far as the process is going:

– I have completed all of my guitars and bass just as I have all the electronics and orchestral work. You know I always mention that quite some work has gone into this with each and every album? Well, I took it all to another level this time around. I couldn’t be happier with what I have composed. I truly am a genius of gigantic proportions. Boom!

– Chief Grunter Jörgen Sandström’s put down everything but 1 track when it comes to his vocals. And it’s not like I need to tell you that it sounds spectacular as always. But it sounds spectacular as always.

– Female wonder Ellinor Asp will start tracking her demos as we speak, and the plan is for her to finalize her work come March/April. I can’t wait for her lunacy to grace the material and bring it to levels I didn’t think was possible.

– Amon Amarth’s Johan Hegg, this beautiful fucken fella, did some fantastic guest vocals for one of the tracks a while ago. I had these parts that I actually specifically wrote for him in one of the tracks without even knowing if he’d wanna do a guest spot again. But naturally he came over and nailed it and then some!

– Lead guitarist Lasse Johansson of Candlemass fame has once again agreed to enter The Dungeon and record his magic for all the tunes. He’ll be over as soon as possible and I couldn’t be happier about it.

– Drummer extraordinaire Dirk Verbeuren will start tracking the drums this coming week and the plan is for him to be done with everything by the end of April. In case you don’t know, he’s kinda occupied with some other band touring the world at all times. The fact that he even manages to squeeze in time for a project like TPH once again… it fucken blows my mind.

– Album 15 will have 6 tracks and the running time will be very close to 80 minutes.

– This recording will, as always, be mixed and mastered by myself and legend/superhero Dan Swanö of Unisound fame.

– The title for this 15th beast has been decided upon since quite some time back actually and I will reveal it further down the road.

– Killer artist Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design will once again handle the artwork and packaging, just like he did for our last album.

Looking at the names above, it blows my mind the kind of people I get to work with when it comes to TPH.

My plan is to have everything ready for mix come the summer months. I can’t be any more specific coz maybe someone’s computer implodes, World War III breaks out or whatever and the recording process will be a bit delayed, but now you at least know the plan. I will keep you updated at all times when there’s something of significance to report so you’re in the loop, ok? Also, our social media platforms will be updated with every reached $1000 level, so keep an eye on those pages.

So, that’s where we are at, Haters! Could you please be so kind and make The 7^th TPH DONATION EXPERIMENT a success sooner rather than later so I don’t have to deal with the goddamn stress for too long, haha… I never, ever, take any of this for granted. You know this by now. But I am more hesitant than ever that this will be a success considering the state of the world. If we do not get to the goal (despite what I said earlier) I will, as promised with every Experiment, give the donations to our local cat shelter.

But if we eventually reach the monetary target I can guarantee you that your reward for supporting my work with TPH will show in the end result.
