Donation update and more!
Just extra-ordinary. We have reached 2200 dollars now. There are no words to explain how thankful I am for this. We are halfway to the goal and as it looks, this experiment will work and you guys will make sure there will be a next TPH album. Thank you. Keep on spreading the word about The Experiment. I can guarantee you that we will deliver something that tops everything we have done before.
In other news: Me and the Mrs have now moved into our new house and everything s back to normal again (as normal as things can be considering we just bought ourselves a house, haha). This means the song writing can finally continue as Dungeon 2.0 is up and running, and it’s become everything I ever dreamed of, and more. My fingers are itching to start working all the stuff I have recorded over the last months and make it into real songs. There’s some absolutely killer stuff in there and I am so proud of what we have created so far. Now with all my new software we will step thins up even more and when all the songs for the next album are “completed”, then it’s time to really start working with them and give them that extra vibe I am always looking for. The detail work. The stuff I love doing the most. It’s quite some time left before this one will be recorded (naturally, The Experiment needs to reach its goal first), but this is going to be something else. Can’t wait until you guys get to hear this…
Keep on supporting us, buy some merch or CD’s (the money goes straight into the recording, as mentioned before) and interact with us on the forums.
Again: thank you so much. Now I go back to composing. For I have great things to accomplish with my brothers and sister of TPH.
We have a mission to complete…
While in the middle of moving to my new house (The Dungeon is moved last, of course, in case there’s something popping up that I just need to record ) it seems I can’t really let the music be… I have started to seriously compose for the 6th track now, slowly building this monster up. As I usually point out – there’s a long, long way to go before this one is finished. I have created a few minutes already though, which feels awesome. I have had this riff in my head for a while and now it was the right time to actually create something out of it. Safe to say it’s a brutal piece for this track…
I listened thru the completed tunes last week and it really shows we have upped ourselves yet again. My plan is to write 2 more songs, meaning the album will have 7 diabolical symphonies in total (none of them is a 3-minute wonder, just so you know, haha). It will take the time it takes. We won’t rush a thing with this album. And of course, we can’t record anything until we have the funds for it – so don’t forget the TPH Donation Experiment. Or buy a shirt. Or one of the very few albums we have left. Every cent goes into the funds for recording.
“Bleeding the new apocalypse” is still the epitome of what TPH is about, but that’s only becoz this coming one isn’t recorded yet.
You will see.
We still have shirts left!
Feel like contributing to The TPH Donation Experiment but do not feel like actually giving money away becoz it’s “cheaper” to download our music? Well, you can’t download our goddamn shirts, how about that?! In all seriousness, we still have a bunch of shirts left and every cent of the sales of those go into the recording of our next album. All you need to do is click this link and you’ll find all the information you need as for how to order one or two of these magnificent bastards:
You can click the link I posted above in case you are interested in actually seeing what it says on the back. It’s nothing you’d wear while going to church on Sunday, let’s put it like that. Then again – if you are a church-goer you clearly are visiting the wrong fucken site. Anyways, the shirts are of the highest quality, so do not hesitate – order your piece now and help us reach the goal so we can record the next masterpiece in 2012.
Look to the right…
Inside that one there’s some amazing music being stored. And as it looks, the first real draft of the 5th song is now completed, which means it’s time to check the guitars for eventual errors and stuff that needs to be re-recorded to make it perfect. As suspected, this one will be a tune where Mike Wead will really get to shine (as if he didn’t shine brighter than the sun already when it comes to playing guitar). There is a good chance that this 5th tune will eventually end up being the closer of the album, at least that’s how it feels at this very stage. I am extremely happy with the outcome of this one even if there’s tons of work left with it before it’s complete. It’s definitely a little different approach to it than what you are used to with our music, and I am sure you will adore it. There’s a real dark atmosphere present, one that is bringing forth the purgatory we are always aiming for. The next step, after recording bass and checking the guitars, is to add the orchestral parts as always. Can’t wait to wrap this one up and move on to the next. Safe to say, things are going absolutely excellent when it comes to the writing of our next masterpiece.
Stay tuned for more updates at this site, interact with us over at our forums and last off – buy the damn shirt so we can get rid of them.
Into the grave.
Now that’s a fine fucken album by the legendary Grave. You know, Jörgens old band. But this is not about them, this is about the process of creating music for our next album. I just needed a title for this update. Anyways, this morning I went up real early (for some reason the peak of creativity is at its highest in the mornings for me) and continued working on the song referred to in this here post. The basic lay-out of it is practically done and it feels like I will devour myself to some serious arranging now, to make the song perfect. Some really tricky guitars in this one playing stuff I usually do not play, but that’s how it’s been so far over the course of composing for this; I have really challenged myself in all areas and some stuff will most likely catch you off-guard since you’re not really used to hear this in TPH (as I have told you before, but it is crucial to repeat it). Atmosphere and diversity are the keywords here. As I mentioned before, guitarist extra-ordinaire Mike Wead better warm up those pretty little fingers of his, coz he’s gonna have his work cut out for him in this one. I still have a ton of stuff laying around to work with but I better concentrate on one thing at the time now or I’ll end up with an album with 5 hours of music. You’d love that, though, wouldn’t you? Either way, I am back to composing to bring this bastard to life. The fifth tune is nearing completion, people, but as always there’s lots of work left.
Cheers, and don’t forget to buy a shirt if you consider yourself a supporter of The Hate.
